If you have been using the free subdomain option with vassarspaces.net through Vassar College, this does <strong>not<\/strong> apply to you.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, if you&#8217;re <a href=\"http:\/\/vassarspaces.net\/support\/uncategorized\/migrate-to-reclaim-hosting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">migrating your content to Reclaim Hosting<\/a>, this article does <strong>not<\/strong> apply to you.<\/p>\n<p>Transferring a domain you already own is not too much different from registering a new domain, except the transfer process requires an\u00a0<strong>EPP\u00a0code<\/strong>, or an agreement code between your old registrar and your new\u00a0registrar that allows the release of your domain. Your new registrar will have information on how to transfer in a domain. When you start that process, you will be prompted to enter your\u00a0EPP\u00a0code.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to find your\u00a0EPP\u00a0Code<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"vspace\">To get started you&#8217;ll need to login to your control panel (<a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/vassarspaces.net\/dashboard\" href=\"https:\/\/vassarspaces.net\/dashboard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/vassarspaces.net\/dashboard<\/a>) using your Vassar Spaces username\u00a0and password.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66\" src=\"http:\/\/vassarspaces.net\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/login.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"477\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vassarspaces.net\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/login.png 477w, https:\/\/vassarspaces.net\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/login-300x201.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 477px) 100vw, 477px\" \/><\/li>\n<li class=\"vspace\">Once you\u2019re logged in, you\u2019ll see the cPanel interface. \u00a0Now click on the <strong>Manage Your Account<\/strong> menu at the top of your screen and select <strong>Migration Information<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-254\" src=\"http:\/\/vassarspaces.net\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Screen-Shot-2018-04-03-at-11.35.24-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"286\" height=\"112\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>3. Click the <strong>Lock<\/strong> button to unlock your Vassar College account.<\/p>\n<p>4. Click <strong>Get Code<\/strong>. Once that&#8217;s done, the\u00a0system will send you\u00a0an email with your EPP code.<\/p>\n<p>At this stage, here are a few items to note:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You&#8217;ll receive a series of emails from both your old and new registrars asking you to authorize the transfer. Please act on\u00a0<em>every<\/em> email you receive in a timely fashion&#8211; even if the emails look like duplicates.<\/li>\n<li>If you do not authorize the transfer in a timely fashion, the domain transfer will expire and you will need to start over.<\/li>\n<li>The domain must be older than 60 days.<\/li>\n<li>The domain must have no other transfers in the last 60 days.<\/li>\n<li>The domain transfer process can take up to a week, depending on how fast your registrars work.<\/li>\n<li>Once the domain transfer completes, you&#8217;ll receive a notification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This article only if you own your own top-level domain.
